Become a Volunteer for
The Compassionate Neighbourhood Health Partners Society (CNHPS)

Would you like to become a CNHPS volunteer to mentor an older adult who needs some practical and social support by helping them:

  • Find community and health care resources that they may benefit from.
  • Explore ways to help re-connect them with things that give them pleasure.
  • Explore ways to help them connect with neighbours and other older adults?

You will be required to attend 18 hours of educational workshops and ongoing support will be provided.

If you would like to know more about the Compassionate Neighbourhood Health Partners Society and the exciting new Neighbourhood Activation project, please attend one of the following informational meetings:

  • Tuesday June 11, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00am in a meeting room at the Chartwell Birchwood Retirement Residence, 45650 Patten Avenue, Chilliwack B.C. V2P 1S4;
  • Thursday June 13, 2019 from 2:00 to 3:00pm at the Homer Restaurant, 46090 Yale Road, Chilliwack B.C. V2P 4P9.

In addition to CNHPS volunteers, the Compassionate Neighbourhood Health Partners Society is also looking for volunteers who might enjoy helping with fund-raising activities.

Initiating a Neighbourhood Activation Pilot project in 3 older adult neighbourhoods and in a First Nations’ neighbourhood.

Do you live in a 45+ older adult neighbourhood or in a First Nations’ neighbourhood and would you like to be a ‘Neighbourhood Connector’ for your neighbourhood? Do you have interest in volunteering for this exciting new project?

You are welcome at the informational sessions as listed on the poster!

If you already know that you would like to attend the educational workshops, the first educational workshop series will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 09:00am to 12:00am on:

  • July 8th and 10th
  • July 15th and 17th
  • July 22nd and 24th

You can take the workshops without committing to volunteering at this time, but to register, you do need to commit to completing all 6 workshops.
